Rue de la Montagne 17 B-1000 Brussels |
Cerame-Unie, the liaison office of the European ceramics industry, was founded in 1962; it is an umbrella organisation of eight ceramics sectors:
| - | CET | : | the European Ceramic Tile Manufacturers' Federation |
| - | FEPF | : | the European Federation for Table- and Ornamentalware |
| - | EuTeCer | : | the Federation of the EU Manufacturers of Technical Ceramics |
| - | PRE | : | the European Refractories Producers Federation |
| - | FEUGRES | : | the European Federation of Clay Pipe Producers |
| - | TBE | : | the European Tiles & Bricks Producers' Federation |
| - | FECS | : | the European Sanitaryware Producers Federation |
| - | KPC | : | the European Clay & Kaolin Producers' Federation |
Six federations are full members of Cerame-Unie and share a common secretariat in Brussels, whereas FECS, and KPC are associate members, having their secretariat elsewhere. They are represented by Cerame-Unie in their contacts with the European authorities.
Each full or associate member federation represents national ceramics associations or individual enterprises in the EU member states and other European countries. This allows Cerame-Unie to act as the mouthpiece of around 2000 ceramic companies.
Cerame-Unie aims at extending its membership to ceramics industries in the new member states.
