The Member States' attempts to address the energy problem in the European Union are welcomed by the energy-intensive industry. However, as the crisis conditions in our sectors continue to deteriorate day by day, we would want to emphasize the necessity for additional quick and effective actions to be implemented before the next Extraordinary Energy Council.
The impact of natural gas costs on industrial competitiveness must be addressed, and steps must be taken to decouple electricity pricing from gas prices, we encourage the leaders of Europe to act quickly.
