INTERNSHIP IN PUBLIC AFFAIRS (ENVIRONMENT, SUSTAINABILITY AND HEALTH & SAFETY)

                                                 

 

CERAME-UNIE (aisbl) is the European Ceramic Industry Association. It has been based in Brussels since 1962 as the representation of the European ceramic industry to the EU institutions. At EU level, the industry is involved in policy debates in the fields of construction, environment, energy & climate change, international trade and research & innovation. 

 

Tasks:

The intern will gain practical knowledge and better understanding of EU institutions and international processes with a specific focus on EU environment, health & safety and sustainability topics while carrying out different tasks:

 

  • Support in regulatory activities in the fields of environment, health and safety e.g. Industrial Emissions, Ceramics BREF review, REACH, OSH, Circular Economy; construction…
  • Support in collecting and analyzing environmental data
  • Support in communication activities e.g. writing of newsletter articles, meeting reports
  • Support of event organisation and promotion
  • Participation at external events and meetings

 

Profile:

  • Educational background in European studies, political science, economics, or law
  • Studies in engineering or science are a plus
  • Knowledge of European environmental policy and manufacturing processes are a plus
  • Previous experience with European institutions is an advantage
  • Very good command of written and spoken English, other languages are an asset
  • Ability to work in a team as well as autonomously
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows tools including Excel, Word, Power Point

The position is available starting from October 2021 for 6 months.

 

Please note that this internship is in-person, the intern will be required to come to the office in Brussels.
